One of my favorite pictures

This is one of my favorite pictures. It was taken with a small Olympus point and shoot digital camera. It is a perspective picture that I have entitled "We." I like that it is a unique perspective for a couple picture and that the bubbles show up on top of the water. The picture is well exposed and in focus. It is also full of contrast and balance.

Your Blog Post #3 will look just like this. Post your favorite photo and explain why it is your favorite.

Final Portfolio

Does anyone look at the blog anymore?  I hope so!  Your semester has been extended until Tuesday.  This means that your due date for your project has been changed to Monday, January 30.  
Your essays need to be printed and put in the pink tray on my desk by this day also.
I am looking forward to seeing your Portfolio photos! 

Photos #4 Black and White Collection

Don't forget you need to have your Photos #4 in class on Thursday.  We will spend time editing the photos in class and your web albums will be due on Friday, November 11.

Photo Mosaic, November 2

Today, I would like you to pick 6 of your photos that are similar in content or have content of a similar theme.  

1. In Photoshop, create a new file called Mosaic 1 that is 5.5 high by 5.5 wide.  
2. Drag your photo into the new file and adjust the size to make the image look its best. 
3. Save the image as a PSD and as a JPEG.  
4. Repeat this for all 6 of your photos.  
5. When you finish, create an album called Photo Mosaic and share it with me. 
6. We will be printing the images and putting them in cd cases like what is in our office.  

The best work will be sent to the Tri County Service Center (main office) for display.

Cameras and Your Blog Post #2

Do you know what kind of camera you use to take pictures? Before we can start taking pictures, we need to understand how our own cameras work. For your second blog post, please answer the following questions in two well written paragraphs.
1. Are you a photographer? If yes, what kind of pictures have you taken and for what purpose? If no, why haven't you taken pictures?
2. Do you have your own camera? If yes, what kind of camera is it? Brand Name, lens quality/ size etc. Is it compact of SLR? Film or digital? Was it a gift or did you buy it? What price range was it in $50-100, 100-200 or 300 and above?
3. How often do you print your pictures? Upload your pictures?
4. Do you have a picture that you have taken with your camera that is a picture you love dearly?
